Boston Dragon Boat Festival

It's that time of the year againfor dumplings. We actually didn't realize it until Hubby came home and told me about the Dragon Boat Festival in Cambridge.

So off we went this past Sunday. We met up with Rich, Anna and their girls for dimsum before making the drive into the city. Traffic in the city was quite bad, but we found parking easily at the Harvard Business School event parking lot for $5. Not bad.

From there it was a short walk to where the event was.

There was vendors giving out freebies, and hubby's new company had a tent there with food, drinks, etc, right by the Charles River where the race was. Nice!

After hanging out there for a bit, we headed across the river where they had the big tent with presentations, crafts and where the food vendors where. The kids liked watching the chinese dances, Lion dance and also a kung fu presentation.

We have never been to that area of town and so we walked towards Harvard Square to check it out.
Unfortunately the girls had swim lessons at 5pm, so we had to rush back soon after. But it was a fun day and we will be back to check out Harvard and MIT.
